I’m in Abington, VA for the Appalachian Long Distance Hikers Assn annual Gathering. There are lots of hikers here; I’ve been running into people I know all afternoon. The group is currently out on the patio at the venue for afternoon hot dogs, beans and potato salad.

I went out on a hike this morning along the Virginia Creeper Trail. It’s a rails to trails project that starts here in Abington and goes through Damascus, then along the river paralleling the AT. It was an awesome 6 mile out and back hike.

The world reveals itself to those who travel on foot.
