Day #10 – Heading Home

After hiking 120+ miles through freezing cold, rain, mud, and wind in 9 1/2 days I’ve decided to finish this section here in central PA.  The infamous Pennsylvania rocks begin on the other side of the Susquehanna none the less.

I’m especially proud that I hiked stronger πŸ’ͺ🏼 and faster πŸ’¨ than ever before.  I have to thank Jag Happy, who is 6 years my senior, for his encouragement as I chased him through the woods.  I even did my first 20 mile day as I learned a pace on another quantum plane.

I hiked down off Cove Mountain from the shelter this morning.

And finished at the Doyle in Duncannon, PA.  A ride from “Trail Angel” Mary started my trip back to St Louis.

Thanks πŸ™ to all who followed my trek.  Peace, out…       Puffin

  2. Awesome hiking Chris. I’m sorry to see you leave the trail.I know that next section after Duncannon would have been tough. You are right about the Pennsylvania rocks. They don’t call it Rocksylvania for nothing. Good walking. Ill miss the pictures. Stay safe
