Day #2 – A Walk Through History…

Today was a big one. Hiked 14 miles and went through all sorts of landmarks.  Passed by Antietam Battlefield and Dahlgren Chapel.

Then visited the original Washington Monument.

And then crossed I-70 before climbing to Annapolis Rocks for the evening.  Like last night, I’m alone at the campsite. 😒 Although I’ve met lots of hikers on the trail. 😌

  1. Holy buckets! 14 miles a day to that’s nuts! Great job! I am super jealous that you got to see all that cool stuff including Antietam. Looks like you’re having a great time.

  2. Was driving I-70 back from skiing at Wisp on Sunday when I crossed under the AT (which is marked) and thought about Chris — wondering where he was. That’s the overpass he just hiked across.
